The video game medium allows audiences to not merely witness but experience—to feel each punch or kiss, to absorb every word spoken with love or hate, to confront the world’s atrocities firsthand, and to revel in the beauty of its nature. This level of immersion fosters a deeper emotional and empathetic engagement that traditional forms may struggle to achieve. The game’s character acts as a vessel for the artist, allowing the player to view the art from the creator’s perspective. We wanted to use the capabilities of video games to put Memory Prudenciado’s words into experiences for readers to live through. By allowing players to immerse themselves into the book’s world, we try to translate Memory’s stories into a language that we as readers are able to understand for ourselves. However, it is important to note that this language is a language that we ourselves have created for ourselves. Though we try to allow readers to experience the stories, our game intends to encourage the player to create their own translation, interpretations, and their own form of art through the author’s canvas.

The game itself depicts the after thought of Memory’s imagery through her poems, proposing potential visualizations of the “what next?” of each piece. Each level contains fragments of an unknown language that must be collected in order to reach the following level.
